Peninsula’s Brandywine CC May Be Sold for CVNP

Brandywine CC Peninsula Ohio

A golf course in northeast Ohio that closed after its owner fatally shot himself last year with a gun stolen from a police officer could become part of a national park.

The Trust for Public Land, a nonprofit group that creates parks and protects land, is in talks with the National Park Service and the current owners of the Brandywine Country Club about converting the 215-acre golf course into open space that would be included in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, said Shanelle Smith, Ohio state director for the trust.
