Blue skies and 65 degree weather made playing conditions ideal at Legend Lakes Golf Club in Chardon on Thursday evening, with nineteen players in the field.
Gerald Miller wasted no time on his first trip to the Greater Cleveland Skins Game in 2014 as he went home the big winner.
Miller racked up a pin shot and a skin by hitting it to 10 feet on the 200-yard 17th hole and making the birdie putt. His skin was worth $218.50 and the pin shot $66.50.
Nick Anagnost had the only other skin on the night with a birdie on the 360 yard par four 16th hole also worth $218.50.
Congratulations were going around the table to Anagnost as last week he became the first player known to have made a rare albatross-2 on the long par-five 576-yard 8th hole at Fowlers Mill.
John Niedzialek took home the other pin shot on the 137 yard 15th hole also worth $66.50.
Next week the Skins Game moves to Fowlers Mill with a 5pm start. Fowlers Mill is a “Double Down ” event where stakes are doubled to $60 per man and players must have participated at least twice this year to be eligible to play this week.
Defending champion Steve Blackburn Jr. still leads the pack on the Leaderboard, but the race is tightening…
