Big Finale: Chippewa Scratch League Week 19
On the final night of the season with a carry-over skins pot on the line and a cash pot in play, a number of teams came out as big winners on Monday at Chippewa.
Howard Weaver and John Kabasky posted a sterling score of 42 (5-under par in formats of scramble, better ball and aggregate) to win the jumble event by a whopping three shots.
The team of Shane Bishop and Chris Durbin scored a pair of skins with birdies on holes four and five in the better ball format, good for $530. (The skins grab jumped the pair up to second place on the season long money list, too!) Two other teams also dipped into the skins pot on Monday; results below.
And finally, the year-long money title was won by Mike Armour with a strong showing of $1,596.75 on the season — while seven players total cracked the four-figure mark! Congratulations to Mike.
As always, a big thank you to Kevin Larizza and Eric McKinney for putting on a great league. All of the players look forward to competing again in 2010!
