The mission of NEOHgolf.com is to inform golfers in Northeast Ohio about competitive golf tournaments in the greater Cleveland and Akron area.

It is also a place for golf news, notes, schedules, results – and opinions, both mine and yours.

My name is Allen Freeman. I play amateur tournament golf all over greater Cleveland and Akron, and I like doing my part to get players into these events — the more, the merrier.

I will do my best to post all the information you need to know to play in any of the competitions being conducted in Northeast Ohio.

I will also work with some talented people to post game stories, photos and results from as many of these tournaments as possible. An “online local golf sports page”, if you will.

I will also give you news, notes and opinions related to golf in our area.

But for this site to be really interesting, I need your help.

First, I need everyone who visits this site to become a part of its “network”. Eyes and ears, if you will. If you hear about a competitive tournament that’s being held, tell me. If you hear about a golf course that’s opening/closing/changing business practices, tell me. If you hear about something interesting related to golf, golfers or the golf business in Northeast Ohio, tell me. Just email me at golf@NEOHgolf.com. Tell me the story, and tell me if you want your name mentioned as the source or if you want to remain anonymous. Doesn’t matter if the story is big or small, just tell me.

Second, I need your opinions on the stories posted here. Register, log in, and share your thoughts about what is said here. The site will talk about local tournaments, area players, your favorite (or most hated) course. Hole designs, course conditions, new equipment and more. You have opinions about these things, and those opinions should be shared.

Third, spread the word. Tell your golf buddies about this site. Tell your Mom & Dad that there’s a story about you winning a tournament on this site. Tell your boss that he should sponsor this site.

Fourth, link your website to us. The more links to NEOHgolf.com from other websites, the more golfers will find this site, and the more players we’ll all see at tournaments. That’s fun.
