Looking for some hack-around golf balls?

A few balls were recently recovered from Green Lake in Shaker Heights.

Tens of thousands of golf balls.

The balls were uncovered during a multi-million dollar dredging project by the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District. The source appears to be Shaker Heights Country Club located just up stream from the lake.

“We found five 55-gallon drums of golf balls,” said Kyle Dreyfuss-Wells, CEO of the NEORSD.

Dreyfuss-Wells said unusual items are often discovered in storm water systems, but this many golf balls is a first.
