Brian PolickThis year’s chase for Cleveland Metroparks Golf Player of the Year honors is looking like a two person race between Brian Polick (left) and Steve Blackburn Jr.

Polick still maintains his lead. But that lead has shrunk to 10 points over Blackburn Jr., who finished runner-up at the 2019 Greater Cleveland Amateur Championship at Manakiki.

With only three events remaining, Polick leads with 131 points followed by Blackburn Jr. with at 121. The next closest players are Jack Garswood with 84 points and Jason Jendre with 82.

The Senior POY points remain unchanged after the Cleveland Am.

After that, the final event of the year will be the new CMP Cup which will feature a Ryder Cup style format for players who finish among the top 24 in the Player of the Year Series.
