It was a dead tie at 22″.
Two players — Matt Kloetzer (above) and Andrew Jager (below) — hit their 60-yard closest-to-the-pin shots to 1-foot, 10-inches in the 2018 Hacker’s Turkey Shoot at the Firestone 9 Range, tying for the top spot in the event.
And after consultation with host pro Dan Dauk, each player was granted a foursome at Firestone Country Club as their winning prize, since both players wanted that same option.
The evening’s conditions were super cold, with the temperature hovering around 28 degrees and a bit of a breeze out of the north. But that didn’t stop about 85 players from taking part, using the gas heaters on the range and the tasty free food and beer specials in the clubhouse to stay warm.
Prizes included a Titleist Vokey wedge, a Titleist bag, six round packs of golf, putters, foursomes, Hackers gift certificates, buckets of balls, Nike sweatshirts, Titleist and Nike hats, commemorative coins, and lots of rounds of golf at Firestone 9!
If you finished in the Top 20 and left before prizes were awarded, stop out to Firestone 9 any time to claim yours…
