Armour, Beef, Bryson, a Bunch of Tour Winners and at Canterbury’s DAP Championship

Ryan Armour

DAP ChampionshipThe DAP Championship kicks off this Thursday at Canterbury Golf Club in Beachwood. You’ll want to be there; it’s a true golf ticket deal.

Because of the Tour’s Playoff chase for 2017 TOUR exemptions, Greater Cleveland golf fans get to see a group of talented professionals that rival some mid-season PGA TOUR stops while touring world-famous Canterbury Golf Club — all for just $10!

Local favorite Ryan Armour of Silver Lake (pictured above) is in the field at Canterbury, having already earned his PGA TOUR card for the 2017 season via a 12th place finish on the 2016 Tour money list. Armour broke through for his first career Tour title at the season-opening Panama Claro Championship, and the Ohio State Buckeye was one of the hottest players in golf through the early part of the year with five top-18 finishes in his first six starts. Armour is guaranteed to play a fourth PGA TOUR season in 2016-17, but he looks to better his exempt status position during these four weeks of Tour playoffs.

Also committed to play the DAP Championship this week at Canterbury are a number of past PGA TOUR winners. These are guys with names you’ll recognize, like Jonathan Byrd, 59-shooter Stuart Appleby, Camilo Villegas, Tim Herron, Brian Gay, D.A. Points, Rory Sabbatini, Mark Wilson, Will MacKenzie, Scott Stallings, Jason Gore, D.J. Trahan, and more.

Plus there will be a whole host of recent college superstars (yep, some former Kent State players) and young TOUR favorites who are champing at the bit to get out to the big-money show.
