Howard Essner has been unanimously elected as the 93rd President by the Board of Directors of the Northern Ohio Golf Association.

Essner, 66, has served on the NOGA Board of Directors since 2014. He is a 26-year member of Silver Lake Country Club, where he served as club president and chairperson of the club’s golf and handicap committees.

“It is a true honor to take on this role and I thank the Directors for their confidence in me,” said Essner. “I come into an organization that extremely well-positioned due to the hard work and efforts of our Directors, our Past President, Mark Telerico, the other past presidents, the executive team lead by CEO Robb Schulze, and, most of all, the dedicated employees. We have many challenges before us, but I have no doubt that we will emerge as a stronger organization.”
