Fred Rzepka, the owner of Hawthorne Valley Golf Club in Solon, has decided that if the course doesn’t have 300 unlimited golf members at $2,500 for the season by the end of January, the club will be closed.

That $750,000 dollar amount won’t turn a profit for the Donald Ross track, Rzepka says, but it will allow the course to stay open and employ about 30 people for the year.
