Chris Plute has run the monthly Twin Lakes Scramble Series since 2011, and through his efforts it has grown every year.
In 2014, over 110 different players competed in eight monthly scratch scramble events, and the field typically consisted of 24 to 30 two-player teams.
Now it’s unclear if the Series will be continued in 2015, as the owners of Twin Lakes have decided that Chris is no longer the Director of Golf at the facility.
Plute was not given a clear reason as to why he was let go, other than the ownership group planned to ‘make some changes’ without providing him with any other details.
Northeast Ohio Golf has reached out to Dave Beck, whose family owns the course, clubhouse and the restaurant across the street. We’ll keep you posted on the fate of the Scramble Series for 2015 as soon as we know…
