2013 Greater Cleveland Skins Game: Week 13 Results

Greater Cleveland Skins Game

Greater Cleveland Skins GameBreak out the brooms yet again?

Last week it was Mike Angie that stole the whole pot.

This week at Sleepy Hollow Golf Course in Brecksville, it was Sam Corabi who swept it all away.

Corabi of Painesville, the 59 year old past college basketball coach, won the only skin and the only pin shot.

Corabi apparently knows more than just how to get a ball in a hoop as he made birdie on the 370-yard par-four 16th hole with a great approach shot to 4 feet. He also grabbed the Mulligan’s Pin Shot and the entire pin shot pot (since there is only one par three on the back nine at Sleepy) on the 150-yard 12th hole.

There were plenty of open opportunities, too, as no player birdied holes 10, 11, 12, 13, 17 or 18.

Corabi took home $84 for his pin shot and $276 for his skin.

Corabi’s big night puts him in 4th place on the 2013 Leaderboard.

After next week, the top five earn an exemption into the 2013 Greater Cleveland Amateur that also will be played at Sleepy Hollow in August.

Next week, the Greater Cleveland Skins Game travels to Quail Hollow GC in Painesville to play the Weiskopf Course at 4:30 pm.
