A beautiful cool night at the Quail Hollow Country Club Devlin Course brought out 22 players this Thursday.
The winnings were spread around quite a bit, but two players managed to double-dip their way to the evening’s big payout.
Mike Angie started out the scoring with his double-dip cash-in on the 150-yard par-three 4th hole: he hit it 7-feet away for a pin shot worth $40.50 and then canned the birdie putt for a $126.50 skin.
Next, Erron Gomez chipped in on the par-five 5th hole for eagle, taking home a $126.50 skin.
2011 Skins Game Champion Dave Sotka, who has been shut out so far this season, made a deuce on the 189-yard par-three 6th hole for a $126.50 skin.
But it was Nick Anagnost who won the Mulligan’s pin shot on the 6th hole, worth $73.00.
And Ron Miller made his first appearance of the year in the Cleveland Skins Game and double-dipped his way onto the Leaderboard. On the 190-yard par-three 9th hole, he hit it 6 feet away for his $40.50 pin shot and made the birdie for a $126.50 skin.
Mark Borlin still holds the top spot on the 2012 Leaderboard — but was shut out again!!!
Next Thursday, June 7th, the Greater Cleveland Skins Game travels to Legend Lake Country Club in Chardon starting at 5 p.m. Players are reminded that in order to be eligible to play in the big “Double Down $60 Event” on Thursday, June 14th at Aurora, they must have participated in two or more Thursday night events previously — so next week’s event at Legend Lake will be several players’ last chance to earn your eligibility…
