2011 Greater Cleveland Skins Game: Week 9 Results

Greater Cleveland Skins Game

Greater Cleveland Skins GameAfter a half hour weather delay, the cloudy skies parted, the sun shone and the birdies flew as 17 players made it around Powderhorn Golf Course in Madison on Thursday evening.

Bobby Delcoco from Evansville, Indiana made his visit back to Ohio worthwhile as he took home two skins on the night.

Delcoco had the only birdie on the easily drivable par-4 2nd hole, and made a 20-foot putt for the only birdie on the tricky 155-yard par-3 fifth hole for his second skin.

Dave Sotka knocked in a 6 foot putt for birdie on the tough par four opening hole to capture the remaining skin.

The three skins won on the night were worth $130.33 each.

Sotka also grabbed the pin shot on the 5th hole for $51, and Erron Gomez took home the Mulligan’s pin shot on the difficult 8th hole, hitting it to 6 feet away for $68.

Sotka returned to second place on the 2011 Money List with his double-dip, but he still trails leader Dan Predovic by about $85 in the race for the Thompson Cup.

Next week, the Greater Cleveland Skins Game moves to Erie Shores Golf Course in Madison starting at 5 p.m.
