On a beautiful night at Powderhorn Golf Course in Madison this Thursday, three skins were won in the 20-man field, making each skin worth $153.33.
Ron Carimi of Geneva made a birdie on the long par-4 first hole, cashing for the first time ever in the Greater Cleveland Skins Game.
Steve Blackburn Jr. got back on track by making a putt of over 50 feet for eagle on the par-5 fourth hole.
And Bob Karshner claimed the final skin of the evening with a birdie on the par-4 sixth hole.
Blackburn Jr.’s skin moves him into third place on the Greater Cleveland Skins Game Leaderboard as he chases his third consecutive Thompson Cup.
Mark Julius grabbed his second pin shot of the year on the 5th hole, hitting it to 6 feet. Dave Sotka grabbed the pin shot on the eighth hole. Pin shots were worth $70 each.
Tom Evans of Perry still sits at the top of the leaderboard after Week 6.
It was announced Thursday that the first “Double Down” event of the year will be June 24th at Chardon Lakes. The stakes will be doubled on that night to $60 per person, but please note that players must have participated in two or more Thursday Night Skins Game events in order to be eligible to play on June 24th.
Next Thursday, June 3rd, the Greater Cleveland Skins Game moves to Wicked Woods at 5 pm, where players can enjoy a $15 rate that includes the cart! Complete 2010 schedule here.
