Last week, Northeast Ohio Golf posted a Q & A with Mike Hastings about the demise of The Medalist Tour. Since that time, a number of local players and golf course managers have been in contact by phone and email with questions or claims about the amount of money owed, about the amount of money collected during the year, about what Hastings is doing now, even where he lives.

As the rest of the field found Lake Forest Country Club’s tight fairways and fast greens extremely challenging, Vaughn Snyder had no problem: he was 7-under par as he teed off at the par-5 17th, and even a double-bogey 7 there couldn’t ruin his day. Vaughn Snyder became the first professional to capture three titles in the inaugural Medalist Tour season by shooting a 4-under par 67 to win The InfoCision Copley-Fairlawn Open at Rosemont Country Club.
