Three teams shared the top spot in the 2010 Sawmill Creek Spring 4-Man Scramble on Sunday, with each posting a score of 14-under par 57.

The winning teams were pro Tim Ailes, Jason Leeds, Adam Ellison and Matt Query; pro Walt Robertson, Jeff Mallette, Steve Blackburn Jr. and Allen Freeman; and pro Steve Weir, Kyle Cobb, Tim Cebula and Kellen Erdman. Each team earned $1,666 for the first place tie. [Read more →]

Kory Oslie posted a 1-over par 73 to win the Championship Golf Association stroke play event at Pine Hills on Sunday by a single shot over Mark Borlin. Scott Heran finished third with a 75. [Read more →]

The team of Dave Stover and Mark Raber posted a score of 7-under par 65 to win the Cleveland Metroparks 2010 Spring Tour 2-Man Scramble event at Manakiki Golf Course in Willoughby Hills on Saturday. The pair won by a single shot over the teams of Joe Mannix & Shane Ash and Michael Mintz & Scott Heran. Norton Brick & Brian Smith earned fourth place with a 67.

Eric Frishette tamed a windy Chippewa Golf Club in Doylestown on Friday, firing a 4-under par 67 to win The Medalist Tour’s Kickoff Classic and start the season with back-to-back wins.

Frishette edged out former Cleveland State star Jake Scott by a single shot. The victory  was worth $1,750 for Frishette, pushing his season’s earnings to $2,750. [Read more →]

Tom Evans wasted no time extending his season-long lead on the field Thursday night on the River Course at Fowlers Mill, as he made a $138 birdie putt from over 50-feet on the first hole of the evening, the 10th!

Evans also captured the pin shot on the 17th hole worth another $84 to his total, so he is playing — and winning — at a record-setting pace in his chase for his second Thompson Cup! [Read more →]
